If you want your dog to be able to compete in dog agility shows, you have a big commitment in front of you. If you want to be a positive experience for you, the owner of the dog and your dog, there are a few tips that may want to exploit. HOUSE TRAIN YOUR PUPPY
When you bring your new puppy home, you will need to begin house-training it as soon as possible. Your puppy needs to understand very early on that it is wrong to use the house as a toilet; as once you a How him/her to do so on several occasions, they will keep going back to the same area and soiling it again.
WHO'S WALKING WHO?
Based on sheer volume, it seems the number one concern among my readers and clients is leash pulling. If you’ve ever walked a dog, chances are you’ve been pulled by a dog too. Many wondered why their dogs behaved worse on the leash than off. Is there a connection between leash pulling and heightened reactivity to people and other dogs?
The answer is yes, and understanding the fascinating psychology behind it can help you manage the behavior.
SAFETY TIP: LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME
Recently, while I was out training a client's dog, I became involved in an incident with another dog. It was as preventable as the deaths by car I covered last week. I don't say that to place blame. I say it to inform, to hopefully prevent it from happening again.
While I was working with my client's dog, I saw a woman get out of her car with her puppy, who was on a slip leash. Not two minutes later, that same woman was running down the street, screaming bloody murder.

The key is taking your dog outdoors many times a day (especially at the times when you already know he is likely to have to potty) — and, at first, keeping your dog under strict supervision (or safely enclosed in a crate or exercise pen) the rest of the time.
