Bowzer:
Bowzer adopted me with his happy attitude and immediate loyalty. I picked him up from the Humane Society in Bozeman in 2000 and we headed straight to school in MO. where he helped me pass the majority of my requirements there. Bowzer is a Black Mouth Mountain Cur (aka. Old Yeller breed). He is the only dog I kept and brought back with me from both schools due to his reluctance to want to work for anyone but myself. Bowzer is semi-retired due to a knee replacement and epilepsy and will be fully retired once Eddy is trained to act as my demonstration dog. Here are some of Bowzer's accomplishments (trained in/trained up to the level of) and certifications:
AKC Agility
AKC Novice & Open
SCH III
French Ring Sport
Narcotics Detection
Hand Signals
Commands in English, German & French
Personal Protection
Vehicle Protection
K-9 Tracking
Building Searches
Criminal Apprehension
Service Dog Work (Wheelchair & Retrieves)
Demonstration Dog
Eddy:
I know nothing of Eddy's history but that he was impounded by the Pocatello, ID Animal Shelter as a stray when he was about two months old. He remained there for a full month before I saw his picture on Petfinder.org (you guys rock!). I must admit that I had accumulated quite the database for reputable breeders and dog vendors over the years and never imagined that I would respond to a picture of yet another shelter dog. However, upon evaluating this little Red Heeler/Beagle mix (I like to call him the authentic "Heeler/Hound") he won me over and I adopted him. Eddy is currently still in training and has a great future ahead of him in competition and demonstrations.
